Wi-Fi systems operate through the downloaded app which connects it to your lock, so you can start unlocking and locking the door through the Wi-Fi accordingly. With the benefit of remote connectivity, this system also allows for integration to other existing Wi-Fi systems. This smart system incorporates the ability to track entries and battery levels. These systems afford high convenience for remote access alerts, you will immediately know if someone is trying to enter your, even if you are not at home. However, this system does rely on the internet and you would need to prepare to have battery backup for continual service.

Electronic Door Locks

Highly effective and popular in homes, hotels and office environments, these locks have an electronic control and are operated using digital screens that need tokens, key cards, codes, or passwords for activation.

These locks are programmable and able to harness many digital actions beyond opening and closing of doors only. The units are capable of recording the date, time, use of the lock and more. These smart lock types are one of the mostly used electronic locks in homes today. These Electronic door locks have an electronic control attached to them and are often used in homes, offices, and hotels.

Electronic Key Card Locks

Key cards are exclusive and are programmed to work for just one lock or all the locks in the building. Highly popular in hotels and offices as they are highly effective for high staff areas. They are simple to install and very easily deactivated if the card is stolen or access just needs to be withdrawn.

Electronic Keypad Locks

The general Keypad Lock is probably the most familiar, needing a numerical code or password to open the door. Their popularity lies in their ability to provide high grade security. Once a powerful code is set it would require a leak of the information for the system to be compromised and the system can allow the user to re-enter the password, up to three times. A strong password code is essential and a good memory. It is unadvisable to use birthdays, anniversaries or other regular dates as code. However, the code is easily changed when required.

Digital Fingerprint Locks - Biometric

A biometric door lock uses digital fingerprinting. These locks are more common in corporate buildings than in homes.

RFID Security Locks

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers are security locks that make use of signals from small plastic tiles in the form of a card, or mobile phones can also do it. RFID locking systems can often be amalgamated with other locking systems in high security facilities.

When you wish to enter, the signal will be sent, and the door will be opened. You don’t need to be in close proximity to the door before the signal is transmitted, seamlessly the door will be almost opened before getting to the doorstep. Highly recommended for access control in substantial buildings with multiple users, because of its convenience and security. RFID card readers are easier to produce than physical keys, so are easily replaced.
