Home smoke detection provides a basis; as excessive smoke is generally the earliest sign of a serious fire.  Alarms notify on detection of a particular amount of smoke, to alert you, monitoring stations and emergency services.

    • Ionization Alarms:  Swift detection of high force, rapid fire smoke. These alarms usually aren’t installed in kitchens because they can sound during cooking. These smoke alarms feature a chamber with two plates which produce an uninterrupted electrical current. If smoke particles enter the ionization chamber, they interrupt the current and activate the alarm.
    • Photoelectric Alarms: More specific for smouldering fire smoke.  These smoke alarms feature the use of light beams and receptors or photocells. The alarm is activated when the smoke fragments flow between the beams and receptors.
    • Dual Sensor Smoke Detectors: Integrate both Ionization and Photoelectric to adequately alert homeowners to a smouldering smoke or a fire with active flames. Please contact us, as it is important to set the individual sensor sensitivity in dual sensor alarms safely.
Combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors: Designed to detect both smoke and carbon monoxide (CO)
    • Gases form an equally critical health hazard.  Symptoms are severe, ranging from nausea to dizziness and breathing problems, requiring a reliable system which will enable you to get out of the home on alert. Undetected gas leaks can cause serious property damage if exposed to open flame or embers.
Carbon Monoxide:  Is colourless and odourless as well as lethal. Including a carbon monoxide detector to your monitored home fire alarm system is crucial to protect your home.

    • Everyday activities, even with controlled heat can often unknowingly get out of hand, producing a heat level which threatens to create a fire.  That one unguarded moment needs a more dedicated detector where the smoke detector may fail due to unsuitable use … Smoke detectors are not heat detectors and are in fact complimented by them and can be additional.  Heat detectors are tripped when the heat within the room reaches warning levels and are typically installed mainly any place in the home or workshop, which has a burning device.
